Getting started
What is Readry?
Readry is a service that turns your newsletters and favorite news sources into clean, distraction-free ebooks and delivers them to your Kindle or any e-reader. Forward a newsletter to your personal Readry address and it shows up on your device, formatted for reading.
Is Readry really free?
Yes. Newsletter-to-Kindle delivery is free with no limits on the number of newsletters or deliveries. Premium is an optional upgrade that adds curated news sources, Google Drive delivery for devices without the Kindle app, and custom reading schedules.
How do I set it up?
Three steps: sign up to get your personal @readry.com address, authorize [email protected] as an approved sender in your Amazon account and add your Kindle email in Readry settings, then forward newsletters to your Readry address — manually or automatically with a Gmail filter.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. The free plan needs only an email address. You only enter payment details if you choose to upgrade to Premium.
Delivery & formatting
Which newsletters work with Readry?
Any email newsletter works: Substack, Ghost, Medium, Mailchimp, Beehiiv, company digests — if it lands in your inbox, you can forward it to Readry. There is no allowlist of supported publications.
How are articles formatted for my e-reader?
Readry extracts the article content and rebuilds it as a proper ebook: clean typography, a table of contents, and chapters. Ads, trackers, and layout clutter are stripped so you get a distraction-free read.
What are QR codes in books?
Links inside articles are rendered as small QR codes. When you want to dig into a link, scan it with your phone instead of struggling with an e-ink browser. You can turn QR codes off in settings.
How quickly do emails arrive on my Kindle?
Forwarded newsletters are processed and sent to your device shortly after they arrive, typically within minutes. Curated Premium sources are delivered on the schedule you configure, in your timezone.
Can I forward newsletters automatically?
Yes. Set up a Gmail forwarding filter once and matching newsletters flow to your Kindle automatically. Our step-by-step Gmail forwarding guide walks you through it.
Devices
Which e-readers does Readry support?
Kindle devices work out of the box. Boox and Supernote work through the Kindle app or Google Drive. reMarkable and Kobo work through Google Drive (a Premium feature). Any device that can run the Kindle app or access Google Drive can receive your reads.
Do I need to authorize Readry with Amazon?
Yes, once. Add [email protected] to your Approved Personal Document E-mail List in Amazon’s Personal Document Settings so Amazon accepts documents from Readry. Our Kindle authorization guide shows exactly where to click.
I don’t have a Kindle. Can I still use Readry?
Yes. With Premium, Readry saves your ebooks to a Google Drive folder, which works great with reMarkable, Kobo, and other devices that sync with Drive.
Premium & billing
What does Premium include?
Everything in the free plan, plus curated news from top sources (BBC, NPR, The Economist, TechCrunch, and more) delivered on your schedule, Google Drive integration for devices without the Kindle app, and priority support for custom source requests.
How much does Premium cost?
Premium is $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year (about two months free on the yearly plan). You can cancel anytime from your settings.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings, go to Plan & billing, and manage your subscription through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your free newsletter delivery keeps working.
Can I request a new content source?
Yes — Premium members can request sites or features from the curated reads page, and we are open to suggestions.
